Nettleton Manufacturing and Design is located in Central New Jersey, but caters to customers all over the country. With years of experience in engineering, design, and 3D printing, we have helped inventors and average people alike bring their ideas to life. Whether it be modifying existing products or bringing something new to the market, NMD can make it happen.

Nick Nettleton was born and raised in the Rochester, New York area, but has lived in Central Jersey with his wife and daughter for the last 4 years.  Mostly self-taught, Nick worked in manufacturing for over 16 years before finally making the dream of owning his own business come true. During his years working in manufacturing, he built parts and assemblies, while also making the assembly lines more efficient. In 2014, he was able to earn his Six Sigma Green Belt for the quality processes he created for his job at the time. Meanwhile, he spent most of his free time refining his CAD design skills and researching and learning about 3D printing as the technology continued to advance. In the last several years, he has helped the companies he has worked for bring 3D printing to their businesses or improve the way they used 3D printing in their workspace. In 2021, Nick was asked to speak on a panel about 3D printing in regards to space exploration on Twitch for the CosmoQuest hangout-a-thon. The panel discussion was also used for the podcast “Weekly Space Hangout”. 

Nettleton Manufacturing and Design has been a dream of Nick’s for a long time. Through conversations with friends and family over the years, he realized that everyone, at some point in their life, has had an idea they wished they could bring to life - and that’s when Nick came up with the idea of NMD. He has always loved being able to take the many ideas and designs he thought up and make them a reality. The thought of being able to do that for others was even more exciting.
